Crosslinkers are used in a wide variety of application area's. The main purpose is always to improve the coating properties. A few examples of coating properties which can be improved are the (wet) durability, tear strength, fastness, hydrophobicity and rub resistance.
Our zirconium based crosslinkers are used for example as insolubilizer for paper coatings, durability improvers of water based paints and to reduce formaldehyde levels in formaldehyde based resins by switching to formaldehyde free systems in combination with zirconium based crosslinkers.
