DeCAL 2040 and DeCAL 2041 are respectively the ammonium and sodium salts of polyacrylic acid and can be regarded as the standard dispersants for matt emulsion paints. However they are also used in certain semi-gloss and gloss formulations.
DeCAL 2042 and DeCAL 2043 are the sodium and ammonium salts of a carboxylated acrylic copolymer possessing good compatibility with glycols used in many semi-gloss and gloss emulsion paints.
All products in the 2000 series are synthetic and demonstrate a high degree of stability to prolonged storage under hot alkaline conditions, maintaining efficiency at least to 100C and effective over a pH range 5.5 to 14.
